Where to interview
An enrollment center, or Enrollment on Arrival or Departure at participating airports.

The Global Entry interview

A short interview with a CBP officer is the last step before membership. It checks what's on your own application.

What happens

  1. 1The officer reviews your application and anything new you bring.
  2. 2They verify your identity and documents: passports, proof of address, a green card if you have one.
  3. 3Expect questions on your citizenship, address, job, travel and any arrests or customs issues.
  4. 4They take your fingerprints and photo, and explain the program rules.
  5. 5CBP emails you its decision and updates your TTP account.

Why Global Entry is denied

  • False or incomplete information on the application.
  • Criminal convictions, pending charges or outstanding warrants, including driving under the influence.
  • A violation of customs, immigration or agriculture laws in any country.
  • An ongoing law enforcement investigation, or being inadmissible to the US.
  • Not satisfying CBP of your low-risk status. CBP sends the reason in writing.
